think small

On British soil

It’s been a week since we arrived on Bristol International Airport and first set foot on British soil. Things have gotten better than expected so far; but then, I suppose we hardly had any expectations. We had a nice coffee in Exeter with the Devon branch of the international indiepop scene and we have already started dreaming of doing gigs here. We have found out that Exmouth, apart from being a Victorian seaside town where lots of old people spend their days, is surprisingly great for shopping: at least four natural food shops, two crafts shops and tons of other small, friendly businesses. But most important of all… we’ve found a flat! We haven’t signed anything and right now we’re really trying to get the keys as soon as possible so that we can buy furniture for it (to avoid having to camp on the floor), but we have fallen in love with it.

In exactly twelve hours from now, our plane will be leaving the Netherlands and we’ll be moving to a small English town. Well, at first we’re going to look for a house and a job. There’s a whole lot to say about that and I definitely will do write about this here, but not just right now. Yawn. Goodnight.
