I really liked the More Or Less podcasts (somewhere on the bbc website). They’ve been popping up in various Radio4 programmes looking – statistically, economically, critically – at the numbers thrown around during the campaign.
And you’re right, lots of what supposed to be a debate about policies (and how to find money to fund them) is basically just shouting ‘at least we’re not the other ones!’.

Another vote for More Or Less from me – particularly the one that had silly sound effects:

“But, there’s more…”
*DUM* *DUM* *DAAAAA*
“You’ve brought your own sound effects?”

I’m surprised you’re not allowed to vote, anyway – I thought all EU citizens were allowed to register.

I miss British politics by the way (as a spectator sport mainly). At one point I used to fall asleep every night listening to Today in Parliament on my alarm clock (Wednesdays, Prime Ministers Question Time day, being my favourite). The German Reichstag just doesn’t deliver the same thrills/jokes/excitement.

I am on the electoral role, just not allowed to vote for national elections. I am allowed to vote for local, regional and European elections in the UK and for national elections in the Netherlands. (It’s the same throughout Europe I believe.)

I didn’t know about More or Less, but I’m definitely going to check it out; there’s always room for extra podcasts.
